Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Workout

Yes, you read it right. In order to attempt to keep my New Year Resolution 2015 lifestyle change to stay active and healthy, I have created a way where I can squeeze some exercise into my daily routine, but still spend quality time with my kids.

Working full-time with a long commute drastically reduces the amount of time I have to do the responsible parent stuff, like dinner, baths and bedtime routine, and the time I get to spend with my kiddies looking at their cute little faces. So, I am combining their undying love for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, with my meager attempt to trick my tired self into working out while spending quality time with my family.

MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE WORKOUT
  • During opening credits: Jog in place
  • Every time Mickey says "Alright": 10 jumping Jacks
  • Every time someone says "Oh Toodles": 30 second plank
  • Every time Daisy says "Oh Goody-Goody": 5 Burpees
  • Every time Crazy Pete is in the scene: 10 push-ups
  • Every song: 10 Alternating Lunges
  • Every time Minnie says "Mickey": 10 crunches
  • End credits: High knees

Try it out and tell me what you think!

What's in a name?

The term Momager has received negative publicity due to overbearing mothers of celebrities like Kris Jenner who seem to extort their family for fame and fortune. However, the reality is that most working moms are in fact, Momagers-women that are trying to manage their household, their career, and their own identity.

I've created this blog to share my experiences as a real woman trying to balance the day to day challenges that come with working, being a wife, a friend, and a woman separate and apart from those responsibilities.

After all, is Kris Jenner all that bad? I mean she did help each of her children establish million dollar careers that will enable them to have a pretty decent future based on them just being themselves??? Good mom or bad mom? What do you think?
